   Colleen O'Brien         20 years

Colleen O’Brien, Office Manager, has been a member of the Nutley Animal Hospital family for over 20 years. She started when her son, Kevin, was born and he is now one of our vet techs preparing to apply to vet school. She is also mom to daughter, Kaila, two dogs, Ronan and Finn; and three cats, Eddie, Shea and Mayo.  Colleen is a familiar fixture at the Animal Hospital.        

                        

   Darlene Van Luvender   24 years

Darlene, a Vet Tech, has been at  the Nutley Animal Hospital for 24 years. She is fondly known as the “cat whisperer."  All cats love Darlene.  She is a certified Veterinary Technician.  She shares her home with numerous cats including one very spoiled Abyssinian, Lucas.

 

  Donna Fahey               15 years

Donna, a Nutley Animal Hospital animal attendant, is also a Docent (a trained volunteer educator) at the Turtle Back Zoo for 23 years. Her primary interest is working with birds of prey (Raptors).  She spends her weekends on Toms River on her boat" Donti." She is the mother of 4 birds, two cats, and stepmom to a very large boa.

    Colleen Mc Kenna        4 years

Colleen, a Nutley Animal Hospital Vet Tech, has worked with animals for over 20 years. Her love of animals is the reason why she would never work in any other field. Colleen shares her life with a cat name Pumpkin.

 

     Nikki De Carlo           1 year

Nikki, a Nutley Animal Hospital Vet Tech, has a B.S in Animal Science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Nikki was a Zookeeper at Bergen County Zoological Park where she has a love for Big Cats and Primates.  Her interests include cooking, photography, gardening and athletics.  She shares her home with two dogs, a Yellow Lab named Bella; a Dalmatian mix named Yankee and three saved feral cats Chocolate, Phoebe, and Noah.

   Maria  DiBenedetto        1 year

Marie, a Vet Tech at the Nutley Animal Hospital, is a full time student.  She has four cats, named Jackie O, Lola, Little C and LB, one bird named Wasabi, four curb setters named Calvin, Chloe, Princess, and Bella, and a "bunch" of reptiles.  Maria speaks fluent Italian and has been with the Nutley Animal Hospital for one year.

 

   Theresa Vitale  "Tre"         20 years

Tre has been a typist, and receptionist at the Nutley Animal hospital for over twenty years.   She loves her job and her cat Bucky.  Her hobbies include cooking and decorating as well as babysitting her adorable grandson Sal.

 

  Phyllis Pardun                11 years

Phyllis has worked at the Nutley Animal Hospital for over 11 years and she loves what she does.  She has a great affinity for animals  and enjoys interacting with clients. When not working Phyllis keeps busy with her three grandchildren. 

 

  Maria Cesaro                   3 years

Maria has been a receptionist at the Nutley Animal Hospital for three years.  She enjoys cooking, baking and is a big fan of the NY Giants and NY Yankees.  Maria's days are filled with taking care of her three children and her cat, Petunia.

 

    Lydia  Ortiz                   6 years

Lydia has worked at the Nutley Animal Hospital for six years.  She has a 15 year old cat named Meow. She enjoys hiking, biking, rock climbing, and swimming.

Lydia says," I have learned more in the six years I spent at Nutley Animal Hospital then any college course that I've taken.  Nutley Animal Hospital is the most caring, loving, animal hospital you will ever encounter.  Not only are the Doctors well educated but they do their best to be sure you receive the best care for your pet."

 

   Megan  Helsel                     1 Year

Megan attends Bergen Community College where she is working toward a degree in Herpetology. Megan shares her home with a duck named Petey, two ferrets named Ritz and Lady, a gerbil named Molly and a variety of birds and reptiles.

 

  Lindsay Tucker            3 years

Lindsay has been a receptionist at the Nutley Animal Hospital for three years. Lindsay attends William Paterson University with a major in biology. She shares her life with a cat Floozy and dog name Summer.

 

   Kevin O'Brien            5 years

Kevin, a Vet Tech at the Nutley Animal Hospital, is currently in his last year at Montclair State majoring in biology.  He plans to apply to Vet School upon graduation.  Kevin loves sports and has played lacrosse in both high school and college. Kevin loves animals and they love him.

 

  Cleveland               8 years

 Cleveland has been a blood donor for the Nutley Animal Hospital for over 8 years. Countless felines are thankful for his selfless life work. His hobbies include eating, tormenting Fiona (his colleague),and occasionally raiding the dry food  supply.
